**About the Role**:
We are seeking a Full Time and Permanent, Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Clayton.
- Perform the mechanical assembly and fit out of parts and components to our range of products and equipment.
- Prepare and modify truck chassis to enable accurate attachment to truck body.
- Complete the assembly and routing of electrical harnesses.
- Undertake commissioning and testing of equipment in preparation for quality checking and final delivery.
- Initiate and complete work orders for approval and sign off.
- Identify defective equipment and worn mechanical components and undertake repairs / corrective action.
- Ensure all assigned work completed complies with quality and safety requirements and standards.

**You will have**:

- Qualification as a Fitter or Mechanic
- Experience working in the automotive/truck industry
- A good understanding of hydraulics
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to work without supervision
- A full toolkit
