With sophisticated manufacturing facilities, retail stores, and professional trade representation throughout Australia and New Zealand, Stratco has supplied a comprehensive range of products to the building and construction industries, and home improvement and DIY markets for over 75 years.Reporting to the WA State Manager, your remit will include responsibility of all end-to-end operations of the warehouse and distribution departments, ensuring that Stratco products move seamlessly and safely from inbound receiving, storage and inventory management through to outbound dispatch and delivery.
Leading a close-knit team, and collaborating closely with manufacturing, sales, and customer service teams, you'll play a critical role in ensuring on-time delivery, optimising transportation costs, and maintaining high customer satisfaction to meet the unique needs of our diverse client base.Broadly, your additional scope of responsibility will encompass:Oversee all logistics operations including yard, transport, warehouse and inventory control.Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimise delivery routes and reduce freight costs.Coordinate with production, sales, and warehouse teams to align supply chain activities with customer demandsLead, train, mentor and motivate your team ensuring the highest levels of performance and safety standardsEnsure appropriate load configurations and restraint methods are applied to productsLead toolbox talks and ongoing training programs across logistics, dispatch, safety, and customer service expectationsFor this key appointment, we are targeting an astute, high-calibre Logistics Manager with a proven track record of success in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience and strategic insight gained within the manufacturing sector or allied industries, adept in the use of ERP platforms, along with a strong command of cost management, logistics, despatch, and supply chain operations.
This is a critical role for a results-driven professional who can lead from the front, streamline processes, and ensure the efficient delivery of products to a diverse and demanding client base.
