With a focus on producing dynamic, mobile first video content, this role will collaborate with external suppliers to compliment the feed, owning the creative direction, conceptualising photoshoots and leaning in to retouch where required.

You will play a pivotal role planning, creating, and executing engaging content across TikTok (to be launched), Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and emerging platforms. Working closely with brand, this position will develop the content plan in response to the annual marketing strategy, owning the content execution across all digital touchpoints.

You are creative, innovative and highly collaborative with an exceptional eye for producing engaging content. You are an expert at knowing what it takes to create best-in-class 'social first' content coupled with compelling storytelling.

With an aim to increase brand and product awareness, alongside the broader marketing team, this role is accountable for driving consumer conversions (instore and online), generate sales and grow our community. You will be our community voice, engaging with fans across all social platforms and turning them into friends. Your video creation and editing skills are part of your signature, as is your ability to deliver varied content fit for purpose (feed, stories, reels, etc).

Finally, you'll share your successes with regular reporting on engagement, conversion, brand growth and sentiment, and insights around product, trends and opportunities.

The key accountabilities:

- Take ownership of Black Star Pastry's social ecosystem from planning to content creation to scheduling posts and moderating the community.
- With a passion for culinary mastery, be able to create and edit your own video and still content
- Ensure content is developed to support all priority social channels and formats (feed, stories, reels etc.)
- Ensure content engages, is rich in storytelling, and supports key business objectives as demonstrated by platform KPIs
- Identify collaboration opportunities with other content creators - both video and stills to support major campaigns and manage all associated shoots to supplement your own content creations (including creative direction and briefing requirements for photography and video shoots across, timelines, ensuring clear communication across the relevant teams for shoot days)
- Own social copywriting, producing engaging captions and other written content across social media, website, online listings etc.
- Manage community engagement across owned social channels, actively working towards growing social media presence, follower numbers and engagement
- Assist with lead visuals and written copy for induction documents, presentation templates, and instore collateral.
- Implement reporting across content, audience, social listening tools and competitors, and strategically update plans based on key learnings

- 4+ years' experience in social media management, content creation or similar
- Track record of building brands and delivering on business objectives through content development and digital/social planning
- Have a passion for all things social and are at the cutting edge of social media trends and best practices
- Possess an analytical approach to strategy and experience with analytics tools.
- Ability to create engaging video, graphic, photo and written content, from concept to delivery
- Be a strong, fun storyteller with a passion for the brand, the cakes, the characters
- Combine creativity, practical nous and marketing prowess to turn ideas into actions and question marks into opportunities
- Have a keen eye for design and zero tolerance for grammatical faux pas
- Have a creative and collaborative mindset and a genuine hunger to improve push the business (and yourself) forward
- Have excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
