We are currently seeking a **Lead** **Project Controls Officer **to join our growing team based in our Ascot office. As a **Lead** **Project Controls Officer **reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will provide technical support in relation to project controls.

**Key Responsibilities of the role**:

- Coordinating all aspects of the project controls processes and procedures in accordance with compliance
- Leading the scheduling, project controls and cost control team on the project
- Ensure all project activities are conducted in a manner that highly prioritise safety, environment, community and industrial relations
- Supporting Project Managers to manage overall schedule, coordinate and deliver projects
- Assist Project Managers to implement project control process and procedures
- Ensure approvals for contracts and sub-consultant agreements are in place, insurances and prequalification questionnaires are up to date and filed in database as required by the company guidelines
- Organise and schedule communication processes with the Project Managers including meetings, and following up the status of action items

**Skills/Qualifications**:

- Relevant tertiary qualification with a minimum of 10 years experience in a Project Controls role or similar, ideally within Australia
- Previous design management and/or construction management experience particularly in the mineral resource or materials handling industries
- Experience in project controls, project accounting, cost controls and project scheduling on large mining construction projects
- Technically proficient in one or more aspects of mineral processing projects all relevant disciplines
- Strong communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally
