As we continue through an exciting period of growth, and due to the Company's involvement in a number of new projects and studies, **Lycopodium **is currently seeking an experienced Project Controls Lead to join our long-term project in **Ghana, Africa on a 6:2 roster.**

Reporting to the Project Services Manager, the Project Controls Lead will provide leadership and coordinate all aspects of Project Controls, including cost control, progress measurement, schedule control, change management, reporting and site project accounting.

**The tasks you'll perform**
- Monitor and control project compliance regarding the project execution plan, scope of services and client obligations.
- Monitor and control the overall project cost, schedule and risk by delivering of project control analysis and reporting of Value of Work Done (VOWD), progress, commitments, budget, forecast, variance and cost and schedule performance against the plan.
- Optimise project strategies to enable better outcomes and develop and provide cost and schedule over-run mitigation plans.
- Coordinate the project's integrated change management process.
- Support the development of requirements for specific resource-loaded schedules.
- Oversea the site accounting team.
- Maintain the integrity of the information interface with the project home office in Perth
- Train and mentor project controls team consisting of two cost controllers, two accountants and a planner

**The expertise you'll bring**
- Minimum 10 years' experience in construction project management, including cost management, contract administration, change management and planning/scheduling: preferably in mining, industrial, or oil and gas industries.
- High interpersonal and leadership skills to lead project controls site effort during a large process plant and infrastructure construction phase.
- Thorough and extensive knowledge of Project control principles, theories, concepts and tools.
- Comprehensive understanding of construction Cost control, progress and reporting.
- Comprehensive understanding of Work Breakdown Structure and project coding structures and ability to implement cost management work.
- Previous experience in the multi-location interfaces and foreign currency aspects of a global project.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate an ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with colleagues across all multiple locations.
