Government agency seeks an experienced Social Media Advisor to be responsible for end-to-end management of its social media channels

**Social Media Advisor opportunity**
- **Approx. $55-$65 per hour plus Super**:

- **Full-time, 2-3 month contract. Immediate start.**:

**About the role**:
Government agency requires an experienced Social Media Advisor for a short-term assignment to develop, drive, and evaluate the social media content channel strategy. You will be responsible for end-to-end management of the agency's social media channels on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn, developing highly visual, customer-centric content aligning with the agency's strategic priorities.

**Responsibilities and duties**:

Reporting to the Digital Channel Manager, your responsibilities will include:

- Supporting the agency with your expertise in social media and digital channels to increase understanding of the organisation, its purpose and identity, ensuring internal and external stakeholder needs are met.
- Assisting to build the social media capability of colleagues and staff across the agency by providing strategic advice to business areas; using digital insights to identify emerging trends and providing insights to keep the organisation relevant and engaging to its audiences.
- Coordinating the development and implementation of a social media content calendar; write, edit, schedule, and publish digital content across channels, particularly social media.
- Managing and responding to customer posts and enquiries when relevant.

**Key Selection Criteria**

To be successful in this role you must demonstrate:

- Expertise and a record of achievement in social media function in a large-scale organisation or government setting is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to work with multiple business areas to deliver high quality content and advice to achieve organisational outcomes.
- Proven management skills and demonstrated capability to plan, monitor and deliver social media projects / programs consistent with organisational priorities.

**Qualification**:

- Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in Communications is required.
- Experience in social media in a large-scale organisation or government setting.
