As an ADF Rehabilitation Consultant, you will apply your clinical reasoning to support ADF personnel who have sustained a physical and/or psychological injury.

Responsibilities
Taking a holistic care approach, work within a multidisciplinary team to support the journey from rehab to healing
Perform a variety of assessments depending on your area of clinical expertise.
This could include functional capacity evaluations, worksite, ergonomic or activities of daily living assessments
Collaborate with stakeholders including the employee who has suffered injury, illness or trauma, medical specialists, other treatment providers and allied health professionals
Develop, implement and monitor rehabilitation plans
KPIs are based on service delivery outcomes, not billable hours.
The role emphasizes genuine person-centred focus and goal setting.
Set working hours to promote work/life balance with no overtime or outside-hours work.
Typical schedule: 7:30am – 4pm Monday to Thursday and 7:30am – 1:30pm Friday.
Location: RAAF Base Amberley.

Qualifications and Success Factors
Current unrestricted registration or membership with the relevant industry body (AHPRA, ESSA, ASORC or AASW)
Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Nursing, Osteopathy or Social Work
Australian Citizenship
Strong clinical reasoning
Ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams to support a common goal
Passion to help people rehabilitate
Occupational rehabilitation experience will be highly regarded
