Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Technical Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in developing satellite solutions and systems integration for government sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical input into tender responses, ensuring timely and insightful advice is provided to sales teams.
Develop satellite solutions designs and systems integration expertise to support clients in international government sales.
Offer engineering-level technical support to the ongoing operations of the International Government VAR.
Specify, document, and implement hardware solutions for mobile and fixed satellite services, particularly Inmarsat GX.
Develop customer solutions prior to handing over to operations team for in-life support.
Specify, document, and implement hardware solutions for IP networking over satellite.
Provide senior engineering-level support and technical mentoring to engineers.
Deliver training and technical presentations to various stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Hold a relevant engineering degree with demonstrated ability in satellite communications industry.
Australian citizen capable of achieving Defence Clearance.
Demonstrated experience in developing solutions in pre-sales environment (bids/RFT's/RFQ's).
Desirable Skills
Experience in IT, particularly as it applies to satellite communications and networking.
Knowledge of Microsoft and Linux-based operating system installation and configuration.
Proficient in maintenance documentation and support programs for developed solutions based on OEM component documentation.
Experience with ILS systems, particularly ASDEFCON.
Self-starter and innovative individual required, with ability to push boundaries to find best possible solutions to customers' problems.
