Our client is a community focused Federal Government Agency. They have an exciting opportunity available for multiple APS5 Actuary's to join the team.

Initial 12 month daily rate contract with a 12 month extension available.

Flexible work conditions, 3 in the office and 2 from home, based from either Richmond or Geelong.

**Role**
- Extracting, cleansing and preparing of data from multiple sources, in particular the data warehouse, and advising on appropriate data checks for reasonableness.
- Updating and development of regular performance monitoring.
- Supporting the Scheme Actuary Division to fulfill statutory requirements of the NDIS Act 2013 including the provision of data and analysis for reporting to the Board, Minister and for the purpose of public data sharing.
- Utilising statistical and mathematical modelling techniques to undertake analytical work on a range of tasks, including actuarial monitoring and analyses, data tabulations, scheme projects and cost benefit analyses.
- Undertaking ad hoc modelling requests and report production.
- Effectively communicating (verbally and in writing) the progress of work responsibilities and outcomes of work undertaken.

**Requirements**:

- Experience with R or Python, in one or more of the following areas: data manipulation, predictive modelling, optimisation, data visualisation
- Exposure to or knowledge about statistical or ML modelling
- Experience with creating presentations or reports based on analytics
- Demonstrated ability to autonomously complete analytics tasks, with ability to link task being performed to broader problem context
- Relevant academic qualification including tertiary qualifications in Actuarial Studies or Mathematics/Statistics and Part 1 of Actuarial Associate qualification (or progress towards).
- 2-4 years' experience in an Actuarial role
- Effective communication skills (both written and verbal)
- **Australian Citizenship** is required for this federal Agency.
