Multiple APS5 Actuary positions are available to work for a Federal Government Agency based in Richmond or Geelong.

The position is a 12-month contract role with the possibility of extension.

Candidates with 2-4 years of experience are preferred for this level position.

• Extract, cleanse, and prepare data from multiple sources, especially the data warehouse, and advise on data checks for reasonableness.
• Develop and update regular performance monitoring reports.
• Support statutory requirements of the NDIS Act 2013, including data provision and analysis for reporting to the Board, Minister, and public sharing.
• Use statistical and mathematical modelling techniques for analytical tasks, including actuarial monitoring, data tabulations, scheme projects, and cost-benefit analyses.
• Design actuarial, statistical, and mathematical models to address business issues.
• Undertake ad hoc modelling requests and report production.
• Communicate work progress and outcomes effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Applicants must provide evidence of Australian Citizenship upon submission.

• Relevant academic qualifications in Actuarial Studies or Mathematics/Statistics, progressing towards Associate and/or Fellowship qualifications.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience.
