You confidently apply your technical skills and customer service mindset to trouble shoot and problem solve telecommunications equipment problems, whilst following safe work practices.
You have experience in the installation, maintenance and service of communications, sensing/telemetry or similar electronics systems, and want to grow your career in a supportive team environment.About Your New RoleReporting to the Operations Manager, you\'ll join our skilled technical and projects team who install and maintain telecommunications systems for our valued clients.
Whilst prior experience working with critical communications technologies or on mine or industrial sites is an advantage, it\'s not essential.
We provide comprehensive training and ongoing support, so you can confidently install, fault-find, repair and maintain equipment in the field.This role offers flexibility to suit your lifestyle - you can travel to client's sites and be home most nights, or opt for a 7 on/7 off roster to maximise time with loved ones, or to enjoy your hobbies.
At Acubis, we know our success depends on our people - thats why we customise our rewards and benefits to support your individual needs and personal circumstances.As our Telecommunications Technician, your key responsibilities include:Design and configure IP networksRepair, maintain and install radio communication, CCTV systems and wireless networksFault identification and repairConduct RF active and passive site surveysRespond to equipment issues and problem solve to achieve positive outcomes in a timely mannerAssist with commissioning and start-up of new installationsLiaise with vendors, suppliers, engineers and site-based resources as requiredWork with engineering and project teams to develop technical solutions for clientsWork both in an office environment, and onsite with our customers and partners.Essential CriteriaCert III or IV in Telecommunications or ElectronicsStrong fault-finding and problem solving skills and a proactive approachPositive attitude, highly self motivated with strong attention to detailDemonstrated ability to follow instructions, work with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a teamExcellent communication and customer service abilitiesCommitment to safety and continuous learningValid Australian manual C class drivers licence and ability to travel as requiredDesirableDemonstrated experience in the installation, maintenance and fault identification of digital radio systemsExperience in IP network technologies, configuration and fault identificationInitial response first aid certificate (or higher)Working at Heights (high risk license with EWP over 11m), and in Enclosed SpacesCisco qualificationsRajant certification or experienceACMA OPEN Licence (including structured, coaxial, optic fibre endorsements)Defence experience desirableDetailsReports To: Operations ManagerLocation: Mackay regionPosition type: Full time and flexibleSalary package: includes superannuation, generous income protection insurance and wellbeing vouchers.
