Overview
Seeking an experienced PEGA Business Analyst with knowledge of PEGA-based IT solutions. Ideally, PEGA Business Architect certification and Baseline security clearance. The role will work within a small Agile SAFe team, closely with IP Australia's customers, business SMEs, end users, developers and other technical specialists, and will conduct analysis and define requirements to support uplift of the Design's business system.
Responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure deliverables meet business needs.
Essential criteria
Demonstrated experience over multiple years working as a Senior Business Analyst using agile methodology (SAFe preferred), on large and complex IT systems.
Demonstrated ability to identify business problems, and design transformative solutions that realize desired business outcomes.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate between business and technical teams.
Demonstrated experience working effectively and collaboratively in multi-disciplinary IT delivery teams.
PEGA Business Architect Certification.
Desirable criteria
Experience with BPM and cloud-native technologies.
Experience with data architecture and/or data modelling and SQL.
Education and certifications related to business analysis.

Key responsibilities
Agile Collaboration: Work within Agile/Scrum teams to support iterative delivery of business solutions.
Requirement Gathering & Translation: Engage with stakeholders to elicit business requirements and translate them into clear, actionable technical specifications.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with product owners, developers, testers, and business users to ensure alignment and shared understanding of goals.
User Story Development: Write and refine user stories and acceptance criteria in tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
Backlog Management: Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring stories are well-defined and aligned with business value.
Design Documentation: Create and maintain design documents including process flows, data mappings, and integration specifications.
Process Improvement: Analyze and update business processes to support digital transformation and operational efficiency.
Review & Sign-Off: Facilitate design reviews and secure stakeholder approval on documentation and proposed changes.
Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, SAFe, etc.).
Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical deliverables.
Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management across business and technical teams.
Proficiency in writing user stories and managing backlogs.
Experience with tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence.
Skilled in creating and reviewing design documentation and process maps.
Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
Essential criteria
1. Demonstrated experience coordinating and delivering cyber security awareness, education, or uplift activities within an organisation.
2. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
3. Experience supporting the development and maintenance of cyber security policies, operational documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge articles.
4. Ability to support project activities, including planning, reporting, and facilitation of cyber security exercises or workshops.
Desirable criteria
1. Relevant tertiary qualifications or industry certifications.
