Aged Care Volunteer Visitor For Older Gentleman In

**Would you like to visit an older person in their home and make a real difference in their life?**
We have an older gentleman who would benefit from your friendship.
He would like to be taken out for a coffee and engage in some local activities.
MS Plus is funded to provide a volunteer visiting program - the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS). Volunteer visitors share stories, go for a stroll or have a cuppa, listen to music or play a board game. Our volunteers play a vital role in the life of a person living in an aged care home or their own home through ongoing friendship.
You need to be warm, caring, reliable and be willing to commit to weekly visits, or at least fortnightly visits, for a minimum of 6 months.
Good English communication skills are required for this recipient, however volunteers with other languages willing to be matched to the same language are very welcome to enquire.
MS believes in a person-to-person approach and aspire to match you with someone local with shared interests and hobbies.
