We are a family looking to directly hire 2-3 Behavioural Therapy Assistants to work with our young son whom was diagnosed with Autism and is currently doing Applied Behaviour Therapy (ABA) for his Intensive Early Childhood Intervention. We are currently having an ABA Program running supervised by a BCBA Therapy Supervisor involving 16 hours of therapy per week for our son. Therapy is delivered through play during the session. Training and coaching in behaviour therapy will be provided by our BCBA Therapy Supervisor so that you can effectively implement the ABA program through therapy sessions. Therapy sessions will take place at the home environment and childcare centre
- both located in Prospect area, SA.

The role:
As a Behavioural Therapy Assistant, you will be supporting our young son with autism to reach his milestone and build up skills for school readiness. You will receive hands-on training in behaviour therapy and close supervision and coaching from our experienced Therapy Supervisor whom also works directly with our son. Although not a requirement, experience with young children and enjoy working with children are highly considered.

The hours:
Therapy sessions are 2 hours block each time. We are looking to form a team of 2-3 Therapy Assistants to fill the below weekly therapy hours:
Monday
- Friday mornings 9:30am-11:30am

Monday afternoon 4:30pm
- 6:30pm

Wednesday afternoon 3:30pm-5:30pm

Thursday and Friday afternoon 4:30pm-6:30pm

Therapy sessions will take place at childcare centre in the morning and at home in the afternoon
- both located in Prospect area, 5082.

Laptop or iPad or Tablet - you will use your own device during sessions

This position would suit a second or third year Psychology/ OT student or someone that had previously worked with children. If you are interested in working and supporting young children, please don't hesitate to reach out to us

Pay: $35.00 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 per week
