Operator - Afternoon Shift

**The Opportunity**

Our Service Centre is looking for an **Operator - Afternoon Shift** to join our Processing and Logistics team based in **Wingfield, SA.** As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.

Whether you have steel industry experience or not, we are seeking individuals who are keen to further their skills in a manufacturing environment and has an appetite to develop their career into a leading hand or team leader role. You'll work closely with our supervisor to develop and build your leadership capability for the afternoon shift operations.

This opportunity is a afternoon shift position working Monday to Friday. The afternoon shift hours are from Monday - Thursday 3pm - 11pm, Friday 11am - 5pm with overtime eligibility. **What Will You Do?**

As an Operator you will work in a production environment. Your role will be to operate machinery or work in warehousing to create smarter solutions for our customers, while monitoring product quality and remaining committed to your own safety and that of your team. Working within a collaborative team environment, you'll receive ongoing training and support. You will:

- operating machinery to manufacture steel product
- ensure quality control by packing, strapping, and monitoring our steel products
- drive forklifts and operate cranes to load and unload trucks for customer delivery
- performing machinery maintenance and cleaning
- promote and maintain a safe working environment

**More About You**

Previous operations or manufacturing experience is not required, what we care about is your enthusiasm to learn new skills and to go above and beyond for your fellow team members. We're looking for individuals who are seeking a long term future in career development opportunities with aspirations in leadership positions.
- forklift licence and or gantry crane experience preferred but training can be provided
- effective communication skills, a can-do attitude and willingness to learn new skills
