The New Acland Coal Mine (NAC), a thin seam open cut mining operation is owned and managed by New Hope Group. NAC is based 35km north-west of Toowoomba and plays a key role in the Darling Downs region as an employer and economic contributor since it began operation in October 2002.

**About the role**:
As NAC continues to progress, we are now seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join the Mobile Maintenance Team on a permanent, full-time basis. Working Monday to Friday and reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Planner plays a pivotal role in maintaining equipment reliability and availability to optimise resources to align with operational priorities.

**What you will do**:

- Work with the maintenance team to develop machine plans for maximum availability and cost efficiency
- Create weekly work schedules and maintenance plans to optimise machine uptime
- Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes, systems and procedures
- Ensure all correct work instructions, parts, services, labour, skills, tools and equipment are identified for planned jobs
- Comply with New Hope Group's safety, environmental and regulatory procedures at all times

**To be considered for this opportunity you will bring**:

- Relevant tertiary or trade qualifications in a Mechanical field or an Engineering background
- Strong understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling processes
- Data analysis skills, ability to identify trends and make informed decisions
- Strong computer skills and experience using CMMS maintenance systems
- Current coal board medical and Standard 11 Induction (Or willing to obtain)

- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with various stakeholders
- High level analytical and problem solving skills
- Enthusiasm to positively contribute to site culture and work as a team
- Ability to undergo and pass a coal board medical
- The ability to contribute to and work as part of team in a fast-paced environment
