Highgate is a leading supplier and manufacturer of food processing supplies and packaging products for beef, lamb, poultry, pork, seafood, and produce processors across Australia.

We are currently seeking a strategic and driven Sourcing Manager to join our team in our Truganina office in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne. As we are experiencing fast growth, this role is crucial in ensuring that we are sourcing the best quality products at the most competitive prices. Your role will involve sourcing products from around the world, building relationships with our supply partners, negotiating, and collaborating with internal teams.

**Your key responsibilities.**
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to drive cost savings and enhance supplier relationships, ensuring the best pricing, quality, and reliability.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conducting thorough assessments to ensure alignment with company standards and values.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with new and current suppliers to secure favourable agreements that support company objectives.
- Monitor market trends and attributes to identify opportunities for improved sourcing.
- Collaborate closely with the purchasing, product development, sales and marketing teams to ensure you are being as effective as possible in your role.
- Maintain and manage supplier performance metrics to ensure compliance and quality standards.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and innovative sourcing techniques.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers, ensuring favourable outcomes for the business.

**Requirements**:
**What we require from you.**
- Proven experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, ideally in food packaging or consumables.
- Ability to source globally and build relationships with international suppliers.
- Proven experience in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and data analysis tools.
- Ability to think strategically while also possessing a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
