Maintenance/Engineering Manager

EngineeringWe are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance / Engineering Manager who is highly motivated to manage the maintenance function at a large scale, complex milling / mixing site in order to improve plant reliability and efficiency.
The ideal candidate will have proven engineering and maintenance knowledge, demonstrate strong leadership and decision making skills and have an ability to implement efficiency's to limit production issues.Permanent, full time role130,000 per annum plus superMonday to Friday 8.00am-4.30pmTennyson LocationResponsibilities :Adherence to policies and procedures of Allied Pinnacle and involvement in continual process improvementImplement standardised preventative, corrective and condition based maintenance systems for site to ensure agreed level of plant availability including the implementation of a Total Preventative Maintenance system across the whole of the siteEnsure all capital expenditure projects satisfy the maintenance function (spare parts, PM schedules, maintainability and plant safety) and interface with all external contractor requirementsMaintain effective cost control of maintenance and assist in budget preparation of the siteAssist and manage the operational implementation of Quality Management systems, Food safety systems and Occupational health and safety systemsEnsure that all maintenance procedures are followed, consistent with the requirements of ISO 9002 and HACCPEnsure all equipment operates within environmental guidelines eg : noise, emissions, dangerous goods, as well as design and lead and Environmental Management System for the siteEnsure all plant and equipment is safe to operate and compliant with Plant Safety Regulations and adherence by maintenance employees to safe work procedures and practicesProvide leadership and motivation to all maintenance employees in order to ensure all Company objectives, targets and schedules are metAllocate staff to perform the required duties in the most efficient and effective manner.Ensure all Maintenance training needs are effectively managed according to the designed plansAssess the sites immediate and future manning needsPrepare regular reports on the status and activities of the maintenance area and maintain sufficient record keeping procedures to allow complete reconciliation of all commercial activities.Meet agreed levels of internal customer satisfactionAttend weekly national maintenance telephone conference.Complete weekly and monthly KPI reportsQualifications :Qualifications in Engineering, Industrial Trade or related discipline10+ years Industrial site maintenance experienceMinimum 5-10 years experience at maintenance management / supervisory level –Minimum 5-10 years experience in a Food Manufacturing environment, experience in a flour milling environment highly advantageousExperience :Strong internal customer awarenessStrong communication / interpersonal skillsAble to demonstrate 'hands on' engineering capabilitiesTechnical Skills :Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skill levelSAP experienceCan negotiate with suppliersMust be able to lead maintenance staff and control maintenance activitiesAble to manage small in-house projects and oversee activities of contractors on major project works;Able to manage on-site service providers and contractors
