Working in close conjunction with all crew, key duties will include:Providing excellent customer serviceAssisting with safe daily operations of the vesselIdentifying and notifying Master/Operations of safety concerns and assist with implementation to prevent incidentsParticipating and contributing to emergency response plansResponsible for general maintenance and overall cleanliness of the of the vesselCarrying out deck patrols during shift and ensuring the vessel is protected from being damaged when in its berthUnderstanding and meeting the requirements detailed in the vessel's Safety Management System, and actively participating in emergency response proceduresManaging ticket sales and checks ensuring complianceAbout YouProvides exceptional customer service by having excellent communication and interpersonal skillsUnderstands and has a commitment to adhere to all Work Health and Safety (WH&S) requirementsDemonstrates a high level of attention to detailWorks harmoniously within and across teamsAvailability to work weekends and public holidays and at other locations if requiredBe well presented and possess a polite and professional approach Skills, Qualifications and ExperienceElements of shipboard safety (ESS) and / or General Purpose Hand (GPH) - EssentialCoxswains Grade 3 - PreferredSenior First Aid Qualification and CPR - EssentialHighly developed interpersonal and solution focused skills to provide excellent customer serviceStrong verbal communication skillsExperience working professionally in a small teamExperience in the maritime transport industryAbout UsSeaLink South East Queensland is the largest marine operator in Moreton Bay operating vehicle and passenger ferry services to Straddie, Southern Moreton Bay Islands and the Moggill Ferry.
