About the Role
The Deputy Principal Education Officer partners with regional leaders, particularly ARDs, to support school leadership teams to progress their school's journey towards creating positive and productive learning environments.
A key responsibility is to lead communities of practice, alongside ARDs, with clusters of schools to explore ways of creating and maintaining positive and productive learning environments. The position also plays a key role in strengthening the confidence and capability of school leaders to lead whole school approaches to supporting positive student behaviour through targeted professional, mentoring and the provision of evidence-based advice.
The Deputy Principal Education Officer also plays a key role in providing advice to principals where, as a last resort, a school disciplinary absence is required.
