About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Electrical Technician to join our service team at Warradarge Wind Farm.
The ideal candidate must possess a recognised Australian trade certificate.
The role involves working within a small team environment on-site, reporting to the site supervisor.
Responsibilities include maintaining wind turbines in accordance with the contract, supported by an administrator and a planner, with KPIs set by the Area Service Manager.
The position offers an 8:6 roster.
Responsibilities
Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance on wind turbines as required
Respond to site calls outside normal hours for reactive maintenance on a rostered basis
Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good condition
Operate HV and LV systems within your training and authorization limits
Ensure safety of personnel, environmental protection, and adherence to work methods
Complete site inductions and fulfill SMA requirements
Follow OH&S legislation, safety protocols, and environmental standards
Wear appropriate PPE at all times
Participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks
Perform other duties as directed within your competence and skills
Qualifications
Electrical Trade Certificate
Full driver's license
Competencies
Proficient in PC and modern technologies
Ability to interpret technical drawings for fault-finding and maintenance
Knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems is desirable
Motivated to learn and grow within the industry
Strong safety awareness and compliance commitment
Experience with HV/LV, hydraulics, and mechanical systems in various environments
Proficient with hand tools
Good communication skills and team player
Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
