**Selection Criteria**:
- SC 1 A tertiary qualification in the field of social work, with eligibility for AASW membership, with demonstrated experience of working with young people presenting with a range of support needs.
SC 2 Substantial knowledge of risk management, case planning, crisis intervention and strategies, and experience in providing professional development and training programs for teachers, staff, families and carers.
SC 3 Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills and high level interpersonal skills including a capacity to develop constructive relationships with students, parents, carers, staff and external agencies.
SC 5 Demonstrated ability to understand, empathise with and support students in a variety of challenging personal situations, through a solid understanding of trauma and child and adolescent development.
**Role**:
- The successful applicant is required to have a minimum of an undergraduate degree in social work.
The successful applicant will work as a member of the wellbeing team and they be required but not limited to have a strong commitment to wellbeing and educational outcomes for young people. Demonstrated experience, skills, expertise and knowledge in supporting the wellbeing of students, providing crisis response and intervention, wellbeing support, case planning, student support, completion of risk assessments/safety plans/support plans for students.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage and respond to student wellbeing referrals, providing support crisis management, risk assessment and case management.
Make appropriate referrals for students to external service providers based upon their needs.
Respond to school wellbeing situations as required.
Identify, source and facilitate relevant programs to support the social and wellbeing needs of students and the school.
Develop and deliver proactive programs to develop optimism, resilience, respect, regulation, coping, health and wellbeing and interpersonal skills in adolescents.
Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders involved in the provision of health, mental health, and psychosocial services to young people.
Work in close association with the Leadership, Sub School Teams,Teachers and external agencies in the development and implementation of policies and practices that support student success, learning, engagement and wellbeing.
Plan and deliver relevant professional learning to staff as required.
Write and review Safety Plans and other student support plans

- Provide and document expert advice upon request to support students as part of Disability Inclusion.
Support Sub School teams around student attendance and school participation.
Maintain records, case notes and ensure that student information is kept up to date in accordance with policy and guidelines.
- Assist families to access appropriate relief agencies. e.g. State School Relief etc.
Develop and assist in delivering pro-active classroom and extra curricula programs that improve student resilience and wellbeing.
- As required, attend school activities.
Other duties as required by the Wellbeing and Inclusion Leader and the Principal.
