We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Production Planner to join our dynamic team and contribute to our continued success.

As a Production Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production processes. You will be responsible for developing and managing production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing resource utilisation and minimising waste. Your expertise in lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies will be vital in driving continuous improvement and achieving operational excellence.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Production Scheduling: Develop and maintain production schedules based on orders submitted by the customers, understanding the forecasted demand, inventory levels, and production capacity. Ensure timely and accurate completion of production orders to ensure 100% DIFOT is achieved.
- Logistics Management: Book and manage logistics transportation to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of finished products to customers and distribution centres. Coordinate with carriers, manage shipping schedules, and address any transportation-related issues.
- Resource Planning: Coordinate with procurement, production, customers, demand planner and logistics teams to ensure the availability of raw materials, equipment, and personnel needed for production.
- Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma: Implement and support lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and streamline production processes.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to ensure optimal stock levels and minimise excess inventory.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure compliance with food safety standards and product quality requirements.
- Data Analysis: Utilise production data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to analyse performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve production issues, including equipment malfunctions, supply chain disruptions, and quality concerns in a timely manner.

**Qualifications**:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or extensive experience in a similar role.
- Experience: Experience within the food manufacturing industry, preferably with chilled protein products.

**Skills**:

- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Proficiency in production planning software, ERP.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
