**The role**:
Reporting to the Procurement Manager the role of Pallet and Equipment Controller is to manage and maintain the accuracy of physical and transactional movement of equipment, trading partner and internal stakeholder relationships, the education and enablement of teams, as well as lead the stocktake and reconciliation process and reporting of all equipment accounts.
**Your duties will include**:
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with relevant internal stakeholders and trading partners.
- Coordinating, account for and control equipment movements across entry and exit points.
- Manage daily compliance checking and action any correction/reversal activity.
- Coordinate stocktakes as required and reconciliation process.
- Problem solve and identify through root cause analysis areas for continuous improvement, then design and implement solutions.
- Ensure invoicing, paperwork and systems compliance are accurate, auditable and filed according to business standards.
- Train and support staff on the importance of equipment control and on key processes and procedures.
- Develop, implement and maintain standard operating procedures and effectively communicate these.
- Assist Stock Controller with reconciling delivery paperwork with goods received, as/when required.
**You will need the following to succeed**:
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- Good understanding of warehouse operations activities, materials handling equipment, warehouse systems and pallet management software.
- Strong problem solving ability and focus on fair practice.
- Competent computer skills, including high levels of data entry speed/accuracy and previous experience in Excel.
- Experience in managing change and driving continuous improvements.
- Previous equipment control experience (advantageous).
- Forklift license (advantageous)
- Stores experience (advantageous).
- Be flexible in working hours - (7 day operation)
