Trainee Dental Assistant

Our Dental Assistants assist the dental operators with the treatment of patients' procedures, including suction, mixing of materials, maintaining cleanliness, and infection control standards required in the clinic.Other duties include processing of x-rays, cleaning of instruments and equipment and providing information to patients as directed by the dentist.
General administrative tasks include greeting patients and entering patient detail records and clinical notes.Has great communication skills and a willingness to learn new technologies and proceduresLoves teaching other people and sharing his or her knowledge with the teamLoves working with people and exudes sincerity, warmth and confidenceHas the intuition to think ahead and prioritiseHas the ability to multitask efficientlyIs organised with excellent time management skillsIs hard working, self-motivated and excels in a fast-paced environmentHours and rostering are negotiable for the right candidate.Remuneration will be negotiable, pending experience.

Our Team and your new mentors Dr Nick has over 20 years' experience in clinical dentistry and teaching since graduating from the University of Adelaide in 1996.
Nick owned a practice in Blackwood, Adelaide but sold his share in 2010 to move to Netherlands to pursue a desire to live, work and teach in Europe.
Passed his Dutch Dental registration and was a teacher and lecturer at the Academic Centre of Dentistry in Amsterdam in the Dental Radiology and Dental Hygiene department.
Alongside with working in a private practice.
After 10 years of missing the Australian culture, he returned to Australia and chose Alice Springs as his next venture.
Working there for 3 years and has now relocated to Swan Hill.Sindhu graduated from Dental School in India in 2011.
After her marriage, she arrived in Australia in 2012, where she did her dental exam for her Australian registration.
Sindhu learned to love country and regional Australia for the community spirit and the relaxed attitude when she was a part of the Albury-Wodonga community for eight years.
After spending some years in Broken Hill, in 2021, she made Swan Hill her home and worked at the Swan Hill Hospital for some years before joining the team at Tankard Family Dental.Dr Declan grew up in Adelaide and graduated at the University of Adelaide.
In his final years, pursued a research degree in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from which he achieved First Class Honours.
Following graduation, he worked in Adelaide for several years before joining and becoming a principal dentist at Tankard Dental Riverland (based in South Australia) and Tankard Family Dental Swan Hill.
