**The opportunity**

The **Regional Quality Assurance Lead**will ensure the consistent delivery of quality outcomes across regional water/waste water programs and projects, in alignment with applicable Downer standards (TDS), contractual obligations, and industry best practices.

In addition, provide governance and oversight to support Quality standards throughout the full project lifecycle by delivering internal and external proactive assurance activities, audits, and inspections. You will be required to regularly travel between project sites and partner with key stakeholders to drive sustainable improvement of quality outcomes.

**What you'll do**
- Ensure that all quality documentation and process are suitably implemented and carried.
- Assist with appropriate allocation of quality resources
- Provide support to functions across Zero Harm, procurement, quality, IR, HR, commercial, risk, project controls and cost processes in accordance with the Project Management Plan and subsidiary project plans
- Quality Management of subcontractors as requiredFacilitate all internal and external assurance activities, audits, and inspections.

**What we're looking for**
- Trade or Tertiary qualification in Engineering/Construction or similar is desirable
- Formal qualification in project management or equivalent experience is desirable.
- Minimum 5 years' experience within the Construction industry, Water Industry, Resources / Minging or Heavy Industry beneficial
- Exposure and experience with project planning, execution and delivery, Continuous improvement, Driving Quality outcomes
- Sound experience with client and stakeholder
- Knowledge of and competence in OHS legislation, principles and practices
- Strong understanding of Quality best practice
- Proven ability to forecast project schedules and determine variationsCompetent in conflict and crisis management
