**About the Department**:

**About the Role**:
The primary purpose of this role is to lead and manage a team in the provision of end-to-end contract management activities in a social service setting. The Manager is also responsible for researching and assessing strategic issues and providing the senior management team with expert analysis and advice relating to social services contracts. The Early Childhood Programs and Funding Branch is pivotal in supporting the delivery of programs and initiatives aimed at creating higher quality, more equitable and inclusive early childhood programs across Queensland.
**Responsibilities Include**:
Lead the delivery of reliable and effective contract management and support for all units within the division.
Manage the implementation and ongoing utilisation of procedures, standards and practices to ensure the division's compliance with Government and departmental requirements.
Provide authoritative and professional advice, analysis and guidance to the senior management team in relation to social service contracts.
Proactively seek and implement policies, procedures and systems improvements with a focus on best practice management of social service contracts.
Manage a structured multi-functional team including financial management of grants and contract management.
**About You**:
**We're looking for someone with**:
Experience in contract management functions in a large Government department
Highly developed data analysis and written communication skills
A demonstrated commitment to continuous business improvement
Experience in time management and multi-tasking across a range of programs and contracts
Knowledge of, or ability to quickly acquire knowledge of, Government policies and processes and Social Services legislation.
