We are searching for our next Imports Planner to join our Vanguard Luxury Brands business on a 12-month contract in Sydney, reporting into our Logistics & Planning Leader. You will play an important role in supporting Vanguard to deliver upon its revenue growth aspirations by ensuring the smooth importation and export of product. You will work closely with our Sales team and our International Brand Partners, providing an excellent opportunity to develop your soft skills and technical knowledge. The role is hybrid, which means you'll have the flexibility to work from the office and from home.
**A day in the life**
- Coordinate the import and export process for sea freight, including bookings, arranging cartage and export customs
- Monitor shipments throughout the transport journey, proactively addressing any issues or delays
- Prepare documentation for transport companies and ensure all customs and AQIS requirements have been achieved
- Manage and replenish International Brand Partners to support lead times and sales
- Identify potential supply constraints or excess inventory risks and collaborate to develop mitigation strategies
- Manage and maintain supply planning parameters in MS Dynamics
- Drive continuous improvement in global supply chain processes
- Produce accurate reporting to support stakeholder needs.
**What you'll bring**
- Great communication and interpersonal skills
- A high attention to detail
- Strong Excel skills and systems savvy
- 5-8 years' experience in freight forwarding, imports and exports (liquor industry experience would be an advantage)
- A relevant tertiary degree (preferable but not essential).
