We have an exciting opening for a Payroll Specialist to join our team at MS Queensland. This dynamic **full time permanent** role will ensure the end-to-end payroll and salary packaging protocols runs smoothly and accurately each fortnight for MS Queensland.

**Additionally, you will**:

- Ensure all protocols are undertaken to ensure payroll accuracy each fortnight
- Process payroll reports and reconciliations as requested including statutory reporting
- Process any changes to pay rates or award increases, maintain employee records and any additional records
- Process monthly super contributions and fortnightly PAYGW for employees
- Ensure compliance with legislation, awards, and contractual obligations
- Coach and train employees on systems functionality and develop user friendly guides and tools
- Ensure that system configuration changes will continue to meet MS Queensland payroll obligations

**About you**:

- 5+ years' experience in managing or coordinating end-to-end payroll
- Extensive knowledge of payroll related legislation, procedures and interpreting various modern awards and legislation
- Well demonstrated planning, time management and problem-solving skills
- Critical thinker and experience in solving complex payroll issues with the ability to take initiative and think laterally
- Ability to consult, negotiate and influence to achieve best practice with business stakeholders
- Ability to work autonomously, flexibly, and jointly with staff as part of a client focused multidisciplinary team
- Extensive experience with Payroll, Time and Attendance and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
- Experience with Kronos (UKG/ Payroll Metrics) advantageous
