**The Role**
- Conduct and support the delivery of general fitting and turning tasks
- Assemble and fit marine parts and equipment
- Conduct aligning and shimming of main engines/gearboxes and shaft lines
- Inspect work to ensure safety and quality standards are met
- Maintain a clean, tidy productive work environment with an aim to minimise all waste in all forms
- Conduct matching/fabrication and welding duties

**Skills & Experience**
- A Trade Qualification in Engineering - Mechanical or equivalent similar
- Knowledge using a variety of hand and power tools safely
- Capability to work independently and in teams to achieve on time completion of projects
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Ability to inspect and critically evaluate work
