Our Group ICT team plays a vital role in supporting over 630 employees nationally, providing robust infrastructure, innovative digital solutions, and strong cyber security foundations.
As we continue to grow, we're looking for a dedicated Cyber Security Specialist to work in our Security and Infrastructure team.
This is a hands-on and impactful role where you'll help protect the integrity and security of our ICT and Business systems.
Working from our Burton head office, and reporting to the Infrastructure and Security Manager, you'll collaborate with departments across the group to keep our systems safe, compliant, and resilient.
You'll be part of a small but skilled team, delivering real results across cyber security strategy, threat detection, risk management, and awareness training.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain the security and integrity of all ICT and Business systems
Assist in the planning, design, upgrade, and implementation of security systems
Conduct internal security assessments, audits, and incident response activities
Monitor and analyse system alerts, logs, and incidents
Develop and maintain cyber security policies, procedures, and response plans
Deliver security awareness training and educational programs
Stay informed on emerging cyber threats, tools, and best practices
Contribute to cyber security certifications and compliance frameworks
Support the ICT team with technical escalations and security issues
Help shape and implement the broader ICT and cyber security strategy
About You
Minimum 3 years' experience in a Cyber Security role within a business environment
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 environments, SaaS applications, and on-premises infrastructure
Certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or similar are highly regarded
Strong understanding of Windows OS (including Server), firewalls, and networking
Proven experience in troubleshooting and resolving security incidents
Knowledge of industry standards, compliance obligations, and best practices
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong communication skills and time management
Able to work independently and collaboratively within a small team
A valid driver's licence is essential
