- About the Role
- Reporting to the Reward Manager, the Principal Reward will partner with our Coal Asset HR and Leadership teams in providing technical expertise in the management of reward and benefit programs and policies.
- Other responsibilities will include:

- Support the Employee Relations team with remuneration elements in the development and implementation of industrial agreements, as well as compliance with relevant industry awards
- Coach and partner to support the development of reward capability within the Asset and HR
- Lead remuneration and benefit projects and improvement activities within the Australia region
- Proactively seek an understanding of the relevant external salary market landscape, and movements and interpret the information for internal stakeholders
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the global reward strategy, philosophy and frameworks, to attract, motivate and retain BHP's current and future workforce
- About You
- Degree or equivalent education or experience required
- Excellent understanding of contemporary HR practices and policies
- Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in use of the Microsoft Office suite, in particular Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in planning and execution of core remuneration activities including market benchmarking, job evaluation, modelling & analysis, compensation & benefit program management
- Project management skills and experience in SAP preferred
