In this role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious and delicious meals for children, catering to a range of dietary needs, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and hygiene in our centre kitchen.Your responsibilities will include:Preparing and serving healthy, balanced meals and snacks for children in line with nutrition guidelinesPlanning seasonal menus that cater to dietary, allergy, and cultural requirementsMaintaining compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standardsManaging kitchen operations including stock ordering, rotation, and storageSupporting centre events and family engagement activities through food serviceWorking independently as the sole Chef in the kitchenWhat You'll NeedCertificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification)Current VIC Working with Children Check (Employee)Valid Food Handling / Food Safety Supervisor CertificateKnowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations for childcare settingsExperience managing menus for children, including allergies and intolerancesStrong organisational skills and ability to work independentlyA passion for creating healthy, child-friendly mealsKey BenefitsAt Busy Bees, we value our people and their contributions.
