About The Role
The Educational Performance and Review Leader plays a pivotal and independent role in advancing a focus on systemic and localised school improvement across DECYP public schools. While maintaining professional independence, the role collaborates across business units and with external stakeholders to focus on continuous improvement, foster innovation, and support school leadership to drive improvement in their context. It also promotes transparency, accountability, and public confidence in school improvement and review processes to improve student educational outcomes. Through the Review process, the role also provides trends and insights back to the department to inform strategic planning, policy development, and targeted support initiatives and supports schools by identifying and recommending four-year school improvement strategies tailored to their context and aligned with system priorities. The process also provides a mechanism to identify schools that are not making expected progress, ensuring they are flagged within the system for appropriate action.
