**Who are we looking for?**
QUT's School of Creative Practice is currently seeking applicants for a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in the XR Screen Futures Hub. The successful applicant will demonstrate their capacity to support the Head of School and other School researchers to build the research capacity of the Hub.

The School brings together a range of creative practice disciplines, and consequently provides students with the opportunity to engage in transdisciplinary approaches to their learning and/or research activities - reflective of collaborative experiences in the real world.
The curriculum is structured around core units with additional units in the following study areas:
- Film and Screen and Animation
- Creative Writing
- Dance
- Acting
- Drama
- Technical Production
- Music
- Visual Arts
Our courses provide a 'space to create' for students, where technical proficiency is combined with learning how to make meaning, in addition to how to be collaborative, and socially engaged practitioners.
The School has established international connections including teaching and research partnerships with leading institutions and organisations across Austria, China, East Timor, France, Germany, Norway, Indonesia, South Africa, South America, United Kingdom, and the United States..
**What you need to succeed**
- Completion of a PhD and/or success in attracting funding in a relevant discipline area (e.g. film, animation, game design and interaction, digital performance, virtual production, digital media, spatial sound and music technology) within the past 3 years at time of appointment, not including periods of career interruption due to carer's responsibilities, parental leave, illness, or disability.
- Demonstrated experience in the effective relationship management of partnerships.
- Proven ability to work independently to generate distinctive contributions to scholarly knowledge and/or create real world outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a high-achieving and collegial research culture.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct research in partnership with external stakeholders and/or engage in policy debates of relevance to the XR Screen Futures hub research program.
