APG are currently recruiting for an experienced Farm hand team leader with our client who is one of the market leaders in the poultry industry.

We require a motivated and responsible person to assist the farm manager in the day-to-day operations. The successful applicant shall possess good interpersonal skills and an ability to physically perform manual handling and maintenance tasks as required.

The focus of the Leading Hand role will be to assist the farm manager in achieving desired production standards using cost effective methods and appropriate forward planning skills. The role will require the incumbent to be rostered to weekend work.

The Leading Hand may also be required to provide relief management in the absence of the Farm Manager.

This role will lead to a full-time position and is based in Coominya

MUST be flexible with start and finish times and any days between Monday to Sunday.

**The Leading Hand is required to**:

- Assist the farm manager to maintain an effective WH&S, EMS, Animal Welfare, CoR Compliance.
- Proven Livestock skills
- Assist with the supervision of staff
- Provide hands on leadership to complete tasks successfully
- Assist with day to day administrative tasks
- MUST NOT OWN ANY BIRDS, PIGS OR POULTRY
- Shower on and off when entering farm

**The following skills and experiences are desirable**:

- Previous poultry farming experience
- Experience with the supervision of staff
- Good record keeping skills
- Effective communication skills
- Own car and License
- Flexible to work all kinds of hours
- Physically fit
