Responsibilities
Start up and shut down machine & driers as per company's procedure
Change dies and inserts and make adjustments as needed
Use crane to set and remove dies from machines
Cycle the machine to produce good parts
Check parts for proper tolerances, surface blemishes, etc. and make adjustments to compensate for irregularities
Set and adjust machines until target parameters for part have been achieved and seek to minimize reject rate
Be dedicated to learning from others and share skills and knowledge
Responsible for meeting quality standards
Accurate recording of production records (production settings, waste, etc.)
Ensuring compliance with OH&S, regulatory, and ISO 9001:2015 requirements
Qualifications & Licences
Tool Maker / Die Setter / Moulder
Any equivalent combination of experience in Setting Dies, training and/or education as an Injection moulding die setter / moulder is an advantage
Current Australian Driver's Licence and Forklift Licence
Experience
At least 5 years' experience in a similar Injection Moulding Machine Die Setter role within a manufacturing or industrial setting with strong mechanical background
Technical Skills
Ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Solid understanding of maintenance practices and production priorities
Knowledge of safety standards and equipment regulatory requirements
Personal Attributes
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
Clear and effective communicator with great interpersonal skills
A team player who supports colleagues and takes pride in their role
Detail-oriented, organised, and capable of prioritising tasks under pressure
Open to learning and driven to contribute to continuous improvement
