The Role

Due to an increase in the volume of kitchens and other cabinetry required at our multiple locations, we are expanding and doubling the size of our factory We are seeking Trade Assistants and/or Apprentices, who would like to become Cabinet Makers to join our busy factory in a full-time capacity. Your main focus will be working alongside the machine operators and the cabinet makers and assisting them in their roles, ensuring that they have the maximum productivity. You will be trained and mentored to grow your skills and if an apprentice will be encouraged in taking a course in cabinetry. Gemstone Joinery have years of ongoing work and are paying above award rates. Our team work 8hrs per day + applicable overtime as needed and we enjoy a short day on Fridays.

To be successful you will bring:

- Some experience as a trade assistant or a cert 2 in cabinet making
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent workmanship
- Capacity to work in a fast paced environment & meet deadlines
- A can-do attitude and ability to work as part of a team
