We have an opportunity for a positive team member, who is keen to learn and enjoys the boating industry and lifestyle.

This role is for a Trades Assistant, to assist team on the job and boat and motor fitups. There will be the possibility to look at becoming an Apprentice Marine Technician, with the right fit for yourself and the team.

A & M Marine is a medium sized family run business, we really work hard to give our customer's the best service we can and advice that can allow them to feel and be safe out on the water.

You will be interested in assisting with working on marine outboard motors, assisting with fitting brand new outboards, general tasks and cleaning of boats, motors and equipment and working in a team environment to complete maintenance and repairs on boats with outboard motors.

You will also have an interest in mechanical and electronics, and willing to learn new technologies in the market. As the technology inside motors and boats now is continuously growing.

Tasks are including but not limited to;
- Using hand tools in mechanical tasks
- Selecting and utilising the correct tools and parts for jobs
- Assisting other tradespeople with tasks
- Ensuring stock of mechanical consumables is adequate
- Working as a team with all team members
- Treating customers with kindness and respect
- Taking details and assisting with customers where required
- Learning to complete boat and motor fitups
- Washing and Cleaning of Boats, Motors and items
- General tidying and cleaning of workshop and showroom

It will be a requirement to hold a current Manual C Class drivers license, including probationary. It will also be an advantage to have completed your Recreational Skippers Ticket.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 22.5 - 37.5 per week

- 8 hour shift

**Education**:

- High School (Year 12) (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Manual Driver Licence (preferred)
- Provisional P1 driver licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
