Udaya is a large Indian/Asian retail business with 4 retail stores around Sydney. We also have a Textiles store and a Takeaway restaurant located in Wentworthville, which is where you will be based. Our takeaway restaurant specialises in Indian and Sri Lankan meals and snacks that are enjoyed by all. As our business is continuously growing, we are seeking self driven Kitchen Staff who can provide broad support to our kitchen activities.

**TUESDAY AND THURSDAY FROM MIDDAY AND WEEKEND MORNINGS/ AFTERNOONS**

**Position purpose**:
This role will assist other kitchen staff and cooks in food preparation and cleaning duties.
- _Your role and responsibilities: _
- Assist the chef with cutting the vegetables and meat as necessary
- Washing of utensils, pots, pans, etc and food equipment as you go
- Sterile the tables and all areas before and after usage
- Mop and clean the kitchen floors every day and when necessary
- Receive, lift, handle and store food deliveries as required
- Handle, sort, store and distribute food items
- Maintain the hygiene and cleanliness of your work area
- To complete other tasks that have been reasonably requested by managers/supervisors/team leaders/directors

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual
Part-time hours: 20-35 per week

**Salary**: $22.00 - $29.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Every weekend
- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Penalty rates

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Wentworthville, NSW 2145: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
