Overview:

- Responsible for the provision of data entry, report generation of medical information, records management and continuous quality improvement activities to support surveillance systems.
- The Administration / Data Officer is also responsible for the provision of a quality and efficient administrative support to the Communicable Disease Control Branch that contributes to the Branch achieving its goals of reducing the transmission and minimising the impact of communicable disease.

**Criminal History Screening Requirement**
- A National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment)

**Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (mínimal patient contact)**

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.

**Special Conditions**
- Some out of hours work may be required.
- The incumbent will participate in special projects as required
- The incumbent will uphold the values of the Department of Health as reflected in the Strategic Plan.
- The incumbent will be required to enter into an annual performance agreement for the achievement of Branch outcomes.
- Ability to prioritise own workload, to use initiative and problem solving skills to meet deadlines, including working under pressure within tight deadlines.
