Entry Level Hospitality Staff

Easternwell has rebranded to Ventia. Ventia's Hospitality staff are focused on providing cleaning/catering services to all field-based staff on our mobile camps and villages to provide a home away from home in remote and diverse country across Queensland.

**About the Roles**:
We have opportunities for Housekeepers, Dining Room Attendants, Kitchenhands and Cooks. These positions generally work 10-12 hours/day for 14 days straight on either a 2:2 (2 weeks on, 2 weeks off) or 2:1 (2 weeks on, 1 week off) roster providing the perfect lifestyle balance and opportunity of earning a great wage. Whilst working away you will have all meals and acoomodation provided.

Housekeepers: Responsible to ensure a high standard of cleanliness in Camp facilities across accommodation rooms and communal areas including shared amenities and public areas. Responsible for the entire cleaning of bedrooms and bathrooms, full laundry cycle, general cleaning and housekeeping duties in the camp and may require to assist with driving/delviering meals to the field staff. Duties include:

- Entire room cleaning, making beds (including bunk beds) and cleaning bathrooms, showers, toilets
- Full laundry services including wash, dry and folding
- Other general cleaning and housekeeping duties of communal areas (dining room, gym, walkways, outdoor areas etc.)
- May be required to complete other duties such as transporting/delvirying meals to field staff, assisting with stock deliveries, food preparation etc.

Dining Room Attendants: Responsible to ensure a high standard of cleanliness in dining rooms during meal service. Provide assistance as required to kitchen staff to ensure an adequate supply of food is available for consumption in the dining area during service times. Duties include:

- Sanitisation and cleanliness of the dining room and service areas before, during and after service including wiping tables, sweeping, mopping etc
- Safe food handling and ensuring cleanliness of all food preparation equipment
- Assist in stock takes and other inventory control activities as required
- Perform other suitable duties as directed in relation to building and camp cleanliness, laundry and waste disposal duties

Kitchen Hands/Cooks: Responsible to assist Chefs with ensuring the supply of food is prepared and available for production across all meal services. Duties include:

- Assisting the chef in the preparation and cooking of food ensuring to follow all food safety requirements
- Washing, cleaning and santizising of all utensils, dishes, floors and kitchen area
- Assist in stock takes and other inventory control activities as required
- Perform other suitable duties as directed in relation to building and camp cleanliness, laundry and waste disposal duties

**About You**:

- Ability to work autonomously with strong time management skills
- Adhere to Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Manual Drivers Licence highly advantageous
- Physically fit, ability to stand on feet for long periods and complete phsyical duties such as walking long distances, bending, lifting, strecthing etc
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol test
- Ability to work away from home for long periods of times in harsh weather conditions
