PEGA Business Analyst – ACT Contract
We are seeking a PEGA Business Analyst
in IT & Telecomms. PEGA Business Analyst ACT Contract.
Open to
: Holders of Baseline or above.
Location
: ACT. Seeking an experienced Business Analyst who has knowledge and experience in a PEGA based IT solution. Ideally the candidate will have PEGA Business Architect certification. Applicants must have Baseline security clearance. Position will work within a small Agile SAFe team, closely with IP Australia's customers, business subject matter experts, end users, developers and other technical specialists. The role will conduct analysis and define requirements to support the uplift of the Designs business system.
Key Dates & Arrangements
Estimated start date - Monday, 25 March 2024
Initial contract duration - 16 months
Extension term - 12 months
Number of extensions - 3
Working arrangements - Minimum 2 days in office per week, plus key face-to-face meetings, at the discretion of the delivery manager.
Essential criteria
Demonstrated experience over multiple years working as a Senior Business Analyst using agile methodology (SAFe preferred), on large and complex IT systems (provide details) - 40%
Demonstrated ability to identify business problems, and design transformative solutions that realize desired business outcomes (provide examples) - 20%
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate between business and technical teams - 15%
Demonstrated experience working effectively and collaboratively in multi-disciplinary IT delivery teams - 15%
PEGA Business Architect Certification - 10%
Desirable criteria
Experience with BPM and cloud-native technologies.
Experience with data architecture and/or data modelling and SQL.
Education and certifications related to business analysis.

Business Analyst
to join our agile delivery team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, excels at translating business needs into technical solutions, and is passionate about driving process improvements through collaborative design.
Key Responsibilities
Agile Collaboration
: Work within Agile/Scrum teams to support iterative delivery of business solutions.
Requirement Gathering & Translation
: Engage with stakeholders to elicit business requirements and translate them into clear, actionable technical specifications.
Stakeholder Engagement
: Collaborate with product owners, developers, testers, and business users to ensure alignment and shared understanding of goals.
User Story Development
: Write and refine user stories and acceptance criteria in tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
Backlog Management
: Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring stories are well-defined and aligned with business value.
Design Documentation
: Create and maintain design documents including process flows, data mappings, and integration specifications.
Process Improvement
: Analyze and update business processes to support digital transformation and operational efficiency.
Review & Sign-Off
: Facilitate design reviews and secure stakeholder approval on documentation and proposed changes.
Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, SAFe, etc.)
Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical deliverables
Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management across business and technical teams
Proficiency in writing user stories and managing backlogs
Experience with tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence
Skilled in creating and reviewing design documentation and process maps
Excellent communication and facilitation skill

Ability to support project activities, including planning, reporting, and facilitation of cyber security exercises or workshops.
