This permanent opportunity is based in ACT/Canberra. You will be provided with a company vehicle, laptop, tools, uniform and phone (or device allowance).
Responsibilities
Conduct front-line safety assurance activities and physical quality inspections on nbn workers and infrastructure.
Ensure compliance with quality requirements and take necessary actions to rectify non-compliance with nbn standards.
Provide input and recommendations to enhance safe working practices and quality processes.
Undertake pre- and post-compliance activities covering field tasks across technologies including FTTP, FTTN, FTTB, FTTC, HFC, FW and SAT.
Qualifications and Experience
Strong experience in a Civil or Telecommunications Field Operations environment.
Solid understanding of telecommunications construction and activation methodologies.
Knowledge of copper and fibre technologies and their installation processes.
Hands-on field engineering experience, particularly troubleshooting during testing phases and resolving exchange-related issues is preferred.
Ability to engage with customers and stakeholders, delivering technical or construction briefings.
Experience coaching and upskilling Delivery Partner crews and supervisors; fostering continuous improvement.
Experience in aerial network construction is a significant asset; familiarity with ACT-specific legislation and operational practices is desirable.
Strong communication skills to guide, mentor and motivate team members and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
