Meets with current and prospective members to increase Costco Membership sign-ups and sales and develops Gold Star companies. Continually strives to improve Costco's corporate image as a concerned and active member of the community. Introduces Costco to the community in new market areas and as an active participant in warehouse pre-openings. Tracks sales, sign-ups, and incentive programs. Provides prompt and courteous member service. Follows proper safety and security procedures and standards.

**Job Duties/Essential Functions**
- Canvas businesses located in the warehouse sales area in person and by phone to promote membership and foster sales
- Conduct research to identify best prospects
- Meet with business owners and assesses business needs to determine Costco merchandise that offers benefits to the member
- Assist business with merchandising ideas and special orders
- Contact business members about special promotions, new items, and road shows to promote memberships
- Meet with large businesses to discuss employee membership campaigns
- Schedule and conduct on-site membership events
- Complete daily activity log and tracks sales increases, sign ups, appointments, and calls
- Submits clear mileage records and other expense receipts for reimbursements
- Promote good community relations by attending and participating in local community events, trade shows, Chamber of Commerce meetings, and local charity events
- Assist Membership/Marketing Manager with formulating and carrying out marketing plans
- Create and track membership incentive programs
- Assist members at the membership desk as necessary
- Resolve member issues using problem solving skills, tact, and discretion
- Maintain Business Promotion Board and update display
- Follow proper Membership and general safety and security procedures and standards
- Assist in other departments of the warehouse as necessary
- Provide prompt and courteous service to members, employees, and suppliers
- Answers phones and assists callers.

- Personal vehicle, computer, printer, phone, card printer, copier, credit/debit terminal, cash register.
- Education/Training: High School Certificate or higher
- Licenses/Certifications: Current, valid Driver's Licence
- Experience/Skills: Costco Membership, Customer service, sales or comparable experience and basic math skills.
