Tyre Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Tyre Technician to join our team in Casuarina, WA. This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the success of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Balance, install, repair and rotate tyres for our members.
• Assist with tyre sales and provide excellent customer service by answering member questions and making product recommendations.
• Stock tyres in the service area and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Job Duties/Essential Functions:

1. Locate member vehicle in tyre centre area of lot and document any prior body damage on service order.
2. Drive member vehicle into install bay, onto hydraulic hoist and engage parking brake.
3. Remove wheel using impact gun, roll to mounting machine, remove tyre from wheel.
4. Attach new valve stem, mount new tyre on wheel, fill tyre to appropriate air pressure.
5. Operate automatic balance machine to get reading of proper weight and placement to balance wheel.
6. Attach lead weights to rims with lead weight hammer, re-attach wheels to auto using impact gun and hand torque wrench.
7. Notify manager/lead to complete 9-point check and authorise vehicle release.
8. Park member auto in lot and return invoice and keys to sales desk.
9. Perform second torque check after manager/lead on tyres installed by others.
10. Repair flat tyres for members.
11. Clean install area by sweeping, mopping, spraying, wiping.

Requirements:

• High School Certificate or higher.
• Certificate II in tyre fitting.
• Mechanical, tyre or comparable experience.
• Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and AS400.

Other Requirements:

• Current unrestricted Driver's Licence.
• Tyre Certification Test (must pass).
• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
• Full COVID-19 vaccination or medical contraindications certificate.
