As part of the Nippon Paper Group, Opal is one of Australasia's leading packaging and paper companies.

We manufacture goods that you see, touch, and use every day and our customer base includes some of the biggest names in FMCG, Retail and Fresh Produce.

You will contribute to the success of Opal by:
Manage the end-to-end replenishment of raw materials & traded products operations across Cartons AU; Key tasks being, planning purchases, shipping related activities, supplier management & inventory reporting.
- Review customer forecasts and prepare ordering plan for raw materials & traded products nationally.
- Create purchase orders in SAP to support ongoing supply
- Collaborate with sales and supply chain / logistics teams to develop recommendations.
- Work with Demand and Supply to understand SAP/APO & system functionality
- Liaise with suppliers and service providers to ensure shipments orders are shipped promptly.
- Liaise with internal accounts teams to ensure supplier invoices are paid in full and on time.
- Maintain sufficient stock holdings to support our supply obligations

Specifically for this role, we expect you will have;
- Previous experience with Procurement and understanding of Demand and Supply.
- Knowledge and operational experience in / exposure to different supply chain areas and functions: i/e shipping, procurement, warehouse and logistics, costing, demand and supply planning and customer service.
- Analytical mind with strong business acumen, problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in dealing / working with 3rd party services.
- Demonstrated problem solving, technical and communication skills.
- Ability to work within a team environment.
