Marketplace Fresh is looking to recruit a number of Junior casual retail assistants to work at its sites in Werribee and Point Cook.

Role and responsibilities:

- Maintaining and replenishing items for sale in the store.
- Ensuring store is professionally maintained i.e. kept clean and tidy.
- Assisting customers in a professional informative and efficient manner
- Managing the purchase of goods for sale in an efficient manner
- Operating the tills including cashing up at the start and end of each shift.
- Assisting customers in the selection and purchase of items.
- Processing cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently.
- When required wrapping up purchased items for customers.
- Following all company's policies relating to cash handling.
- Keeping merchandise orderly and neat in appearance.
- Handling customers complaints professionally and diplomatically.
- Keeping the shop clean and tidy at all times.
- Promoting the shop and its products at every opportunity.
- Daily tracking and reporting to the shop manager.
- Highlighting special promotions to customers.
- Restocking the sales areas.
- Giving expert advice to customers regarding products.
- Maintaining the shelves throughout the day by filling them up.
- Undertaking quality checks while refilling the shelves.

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $14.00 - $29.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- On call
- Public holidays
- Rotating roster
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
- Penalty rates

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Werribee, VIC 3030: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
