Looking for a new team member

Our company is a well-established, unique business that facilitates excursions for over 15,000 primary school students each year.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our small team of dedicated staff. This person must enjoy working with children and be confident in their ability to lead student groups in hands-on activities in an outdoor environment, be flexible and appreciate variety a role.

An ideal applicant would be able to work 2 or more days per week, on school days only, between the hours of 7:00am and 3:30pm. Shifts can vary in length (usually 5-8 hours duration) and starting times may also vary (between 7:00 and 10:00).

This is currently a casual position (initially paid at Award entry level casual rate of approx. $30 per hour - negotiable based on your skill set and experience - with regular reviews as competency increases) with potential for part-time fixed term contracts.

Our new team member must:
*enjoy working with children

*enjoy working outdoors

*be physically fit and strong, capable of lifting/bending/carrying and walking swiftly in hilly terrain

*be respectful, reliable and punctual

*be well presented, have a strong work ethic and take pride in their work

*be able to learn and perform the lines of a script

*have/be willing to attain a first aid certificate and blue card (to work with children)

*be capable of working in a team environment as well as independently

*be an effective communicator, with the ability to manage large groups of children effectively with appropriate language choices

*have your own reliable transport (our site is approximately 8km from Beenleigh)

Any experience handling and/or riding horses would be considered a valuable additional skill.

Please note, due to our client base consisting entirely of primary schools, our site is smoke/vape-free as per school expectations.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 16 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
