**About the Role / Are you up for the challenge?**:
John Holland is on the hunt for an experienced Building Supervisor to oversee the utilities for the new Southern Stations Project in Auckland, New Zealand. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to assert a lasting impact on a key piece of rail infrastructure that will serve Auckland for generations to come.
As the Building Supervisor for Utilities, you will be the linchpin ensuring that all utility aspects of the project are delivered to the highest standards, meeting both the needs of the project and compliance with local regulations. Your role will demand a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a strong track record in utilities management within large-scale construction projects.

**Responsibilities of the role include / What you will do;**:

- Oversee the delivery and integration of all utilities for the Southern Stations Project, ensuring alignment with project specifications and timelines.
- Coordinate the activities of contractors and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Liaise with utility providers, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to manage connections, relocations, and disconnections.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor progress and adherence to plans.
- Resolve any utilities-related issues that arise during the construction process, implementing effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Prepare and present regular reports on the status of utilities works to project management.

**To be successful in this key role, you must have / What we are looking for;**:

- A relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience supervising utilities in a construction environment, preferably within the rail sector.
- Familiarity with New Zealand building codes, standards, and utility regulations.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and coordinate multiple teams.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to effectively deal with a wide range of stakeholders.
- A commitment to health and safety best practices in a construction setting.
- The ability to work independently, managing your own time and priorities to meet project deadlines.
